This IWA YWP Regional Call will highlight experiences from YWP Chapters in the Asia-Pacific region. All young water professionals in the water and related sectors are invited to participate. Discover the essence of being a YWP, explore the personal benefits it offers, seek expert guidance, and address all your queries about the IWA YWP Community. Regional perspectives are uniquely valuable, and fostering connectivity among young water professionals, whether students, academics, researchers, utility representatives, or consultants, is crucial for mutual understanding and growth.

Over 60% of the world’s youth live in Asia-Pacific. This translates into more than 750 million young women and men aged 15 to 24 years. Transition between education and employment is one of the main obstacles facing youth in the region, especially in South and South-West Asia, South-East Asia and the Pacific.

Sharing youth perspectives from the region is valuable and important. Developing national, regional and international cooperation approaches, providing an analysis of specific parts of the area, gaps and opportunities, and supporting collaborations, are some of the ways to empower water youth with an understanding and knowledge of what solutions can be applied in terms of employment, professional advancement, career growth, and more.
