Description

In recent years, as the water supply sector has been facing increasing challenges, water benchmarking has expanded its scope beyond basic service delivery metrics to encompassing leading-edge topics such as asset management, water sector service quality, energy efficiency, digital water, sustainability and climate change.  In addition, the programmatic link between benchmarking and water regulation is being strengthened in many countries around the world. The purpose of this webinar is (1) to reinforce the fundamentals of best practice water benchmarking and performance assessment and (2) to illustrate two examples of mature, successful water benchmarking programmes – one at the national level and one at the international level.

The webinar is being organised by the IWA Benchmarking and Performance Assessment Specialist Group (IWA BPA SG). The BPA SG serves as a global platform for measuring, benchmarking and enhancing water sector service performance through conferences, newsletters, webinars, discussions and information exchange related to best practices and experiences of implementation of benchmarking and performance assessment programmes.
