Description

The IWA Emerging Water Leaders 1st Virtual Forum, which took place on 9-11 November 2021, is a virtual event setting an open platform for YWPs to connect with their peers from around the world. The Forum is a place to share professional experiences and to highlight the important responsibility of Young Water Professionals (YWPs) working on the solutions for a water wise future.

The current pandemic has created many challenges for all. In order to move forward, we need to openly address these and revaluate current approaches to collaboratively create solutions to the constantly transforming water sector. For this to happen, cross-sectoral and transgenerational collaboration is required.

Within this context, the following topics were debated:

  • Disruptive change. Pandemic Perspective (Joone Kim-Lopez)

  • Fundamentals, ingenuity, and being data- driven: Lessons for 21st century water professionals (Siddhartha Roy)
