Description

A group of partners operating in the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector (including IWA, WHO, UNICEF, the Gates Foundation, the World Bank and the regional development banks, regional regulators organizations ADERASA and ESAWAS, and LIS-Water Portugal) are leading a process to develop a global Call to Action on Water and Sanitation regulation.

The Call to Action aims to focus attention at the highest political levels on the importance of water and sanitation regulation as a core component of WASH systems and its critical role in not only delivering safely managed and affordable services but also sustaining them.

This launch event will mark the start of an inclusive process of co-developing such a Call to Action. There will be a dedicated hybrid session during the IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition in Toronto on Wednesday 14 August from 12:30 to 13:30, in Room 712 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (Toronto, Canada).

This event will be open to all interested individuals and parties, and no commitments are expected to be made beyond expressions of interest. The working language of the session will be English, interpretation will not be available.

There is further information for registered participants. In case you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Isabela Espindola, IWA Membership Engagement Senior Officer at isabela.espindola@iwahq.org.
