Biography

Sophie Guillaume (INRAE REVERSAAL), and Marco Hartl (alchemia-nova), are Young Water Professional (YWP) representatives for the IWA Specialist Group on Wetland Systems for Water Pollution Control.

Sophie Guillaume

I am a PhD student, working on modelling of treatment wetlands, with a co-supervision by INRAE REVERSAAL, France, and ICRA, Spain. I studied in INSA Lyon and graduated with an Engineering degree, specialised in Biochemistry and Biotechnologies. I have been interested in integrating plants for water management and urban aesthetics since high school!

Marco Hartl

For more than 10 years I worked and conducted research on treatment wetlands, which brought me to various places from the Alpine region of Austria, to the desert of Oman, and the PhD lab in Barcelona. Since 2020, I have been part of alchemia-nova, Vienna, and now mostly working on green walls and water reuse in various sites.
