Biography

Omar joined the IWA as an intern in summer 2019 in the Non-Revenue Water Programme. During his internship, he was dedicated in the execution of the capacity building program between the World Bank (WB) and the International Water Association (IWA) in Vietnam. This project aims to help Vietnam to reduce and improve the management of their Non-Revenue Water (NRW) through a capacity building workshop.

Omar studied Environmental Engineering at Zewail City of Science and Technology in Egypt. During his past professional experience, Omar was engaged in different projects nationally and internationally in the sectors of water, sanitation, waste management, and environmental impact assessment in developing countries specially his home country, Egypt. Currently, Omar is conducting his Master’s degree on a fellowship at UCT Prague, IHE Delft and Ghent university in Environmental Technology and Engineering with a minor in Sanitary Engineering.
