Biography

Mara Ramos has over 30 years of experience in the water sector, working in multidisciplinary projects in the fields of water resources, sustainability, planning and management.

Mara was the head of DAEE, the Water Agency for São Paulo State and now work as Executive Assistant to the Presidency of SABESP, a water and sanitation operator. She is a technologist in hydraulic works, civil and sanitary engineer, specialist in environmental management, Master of Science in water resources and MBA in environmental sanitation.

Mara also serves as a Councilor of EMAE (Energy), representative member of the ABES Council (Environmental and Sanitation Brazilian Association), member of the Management Committee of the IWA Water Security Specialist Group and recently joined the IWA Strategic Council.
