Biography

Mara Ramos has over 30 years of experience in the water sector, working in multidisciplinary projects in the fields of water resources, sustainability, planning and management. 

Mara is the head of DAEE, the Water Agency for São Paulo State. She is a technologist in hydraulic works, civil and sanitary engineer, specialist in environmental management, Master of Science in water resources management and MBA in environmental sanitation. 

Mara also serves as Councillor of Brazilian institutions and is currently Member of the Management Committee of the Water Security Specialist Group of IWA – International Water Association.
