Biography

Fernanda is a Brazilian with an academic background in business administration. Before joining the International Water Association as Events and Awards Officer, she worked for 12 years at the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (BAS) as project manager and events coordinator. Her events portfolio includes the Indo-Brazilian Agreement on Science and Technology, the 2013 World Science Forum, BAS Young Scientists Biannual meetings, TWAS Young Affiliates Network meeting, and others.

In her role at IWA, Fernanda supports the development of the technical programmes for IWA conferences and implements the IWA awards programme. Fernanda is excited to work for an organisation that focuses on sustainability and contributes to the promotion of scientific studies and projects to find solutions for the global water problems.
