New developments in nanotechnology are starting to influence how we think about and further develop technologies to clean water and deliver water services. With billions of citizens around the world still unserved by safe drinking water, sanitation and wastewater treatment, there is a need to look for breakthrough technological innovations. Nanotechnology holds great potential in advancing water and wastewater treatment, water re-use and halting water quality deterioration.
