Uncertainty analysis is slowly becoming a standard component in groundwater modelling projects. There are a wide range of uncertainty analysis techniques available that differ in assumptions, approaches and computational demand. Despite these differences, they share a number of prerequisites from the data, model and project management before they can be applied successfully.
This presentation gives a high-level overview of uncertainty analysis techniques, their advantages and drawbacks and discusses the prerequisites for uncertainty analysis in a groundwater modelling project.
