The course is designed for children and young people who want to learn about and protect their rights and the environment.

Description

We are excited to share “Our Rights, Our Planet” a FREE training for children and young people to learn about and stand up for their environmental rights! It is available online and offline. 

The training features interviews with activists, scientists and experts from around the world, animated lessons, as well as an interactive game. It was developed by Articolo12, Children’s Environmental Rights Initiative (CERI), Terre des Hommes (TdH) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Learning Objectives

By the end of the training course, you will:

  • Learn what “environment” means and how everything is connected
  • Explore your right to live in a healthy environment and learn about how the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) protects these rights
  • Learn how environmental destruction, including climate change, impact young people’s rights
  • Learn about what governments, industries and others, must do to protect the environment and your rights
  • Figure out what you can do to participate
