Description

The International Water Association (IWA) Climate Smart Utilities initiative aims at supporting  water, wastewater, and urban drainage companies in improving their climate resilience by adapting to a changing climate while contributing to significant and sustainable reduction of GHG emissions. Through this initiative, IWA has set up a managed community of practice to discuss problems, share knowledge on solutions, inspire innovation and create a store of knowledge that can lead to more informed decision processes and higher productivity on climate adaptation and mitigation.

During this CoP meeting on 14 June 2022,  experts from utilities will share case studies on measures taken to adapt and/or mitigate the challenges faced as a result of climate change.

Learning Objectives

This meeting will focus on:

  • Adaptation and mitigation actions in different water utilities
