Give the Gift of a Membership
Offering a membership to the International Water Association (IWA) is a gift that suits all who relate to the water sector. A membership to IWA provides learning resources, networking opportunities, and professional visibility within the water sector and beyond. It is suitable for all expertise and career levels.
You can now boost the career of a water professional by purchasing a gift certificate for IWA membership. The recipient of this certificate will be entitled to the membership package of your choice and all its membership benefits.
To offer a membership gift simply:
1. Go to the membership platform IWA-Connect.
2. Select the country of residence of the person you want to surprise and choose the membership that you would like him/her to receive.
3. Click Register.
4. Fill in the membership subscription form with your details and complete the registration with the payment of the membership fees.
5. Once the membership is paid, request your Gift Certificate from the IWA Membership Services team by sending an email to members@iwahq.org.
We will send you the Gift Certificate so that you can personalise it for your special present.

Offering more than one gift membership
You can purchase several gift memberships but they must be purchased separately. Each gift membership needs its own order and a unique email address.
Paying for a gift membership
Gift memberships can be purchased using the following payment methods:

- Union Pay (UPOP redirect)
- JCB
- Bank Transfer
- iDEAL
- AliPay

Refund policy for gifts
To refund a gift, the gift buyer must request cancellation of the gift membership within one month of the purchase date and the membership cannot have been redeemed by the recipient.
Note: when a gift membership is cancelled, the original payment method will be refunded.
Redeeming a gift membership
To redeem a gift membership, contact the IWA Membership Services team at members@iwahq.org indicating the name of the person who has bought the gift. Once the purchase order is confirmed, the membership will be activated.
Note: all gift memberships must be activated within 60 days of purchase.
Receiving a gift when having an active membership
When a gift membership is given to a current IWA member, the gift membership will start when the person’s current membership period ends.
After your gift membership expires
Once a gift membership expires, you can renew your engagement with IWA from the membership platform, IWA Connect.
