The FIAR will focus on sustainable water management as a
global public good, with the development of an academic
agenda with a regional impact targeted on compliance with the
Sustainable Development Goals – SDG, in order to comply with
SDG 6: Clean water and sanitation for all, which transversally
impacts other SDGs. Three thematic areas will be specifically
addressed: 1) Efficiency and quality in the provision of services,
2) Water security and 3) Universal access with differential
approaches and social sustainability.
