18th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (CEST2023)
CEST2023 will follow the success of the previous events, which are being held since 1989. The International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (CEST) is a leading environmental conference where top experts, scientists, entrepreneurs, representatives of public administration and social initiatives present state-of-the-art research on current and emerging environmental issues. CEST is thus a platform where academia and business converge; where academic research, innovative ideas and solutions serve as the basis for a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable environment. All the papers presented at the conference will be published in CEST proceedings (ISSN 2944-9820). The proceedings from our past events are available here. CEST2021 book of abstracts can be downloaded at https://bit.ly/3DB0sxq.
CEST2023 is announced in a time of transition from linear economic models to circular economy and bioeconomy worldwide. These topics as well as emerging research fields of the environmental sector will form the basis for scheduling sessions and side events.
The previous event (CEST2021) was a great success. gathering over 600 participants from all over the world. During CEST2021, 58 sessions were organized and over 550 papers were presented along with 18 invited and keynote speeches. The conference was organized by the Global Network on Environmental Science and Technology together with the University of the Aegean (Greece). The 2021 event was jointly organized with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and was academically supported by the University of Salerno (Italy), the University of Cincinnati (USA) and Imperial College London (UK).
CEST2021 was under the patronage of UNESCO’s Water Assessment Programme, the International Water Association (IWA), A.C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Attica Region and the Municipality of Athens. The event was hybrid, combining physical sessions with virtual ones.
CEST impact can be measured not only using the number of participants throughout the years, but also by measuring its scientific value. According to data retrieved from the Web of Science (October 2022), CEST papers published in special issues of the collaborative journals from 2007 to 2022 were cited 7220 times (h-index: 49).
CEST topics cover all aspects of water-related research, are relevant for IWA’s members and we believe that it meets the quality criteria of IWA supported events
