IWA is excited to launch the calls for ‘Letters of Intent’ from those interested in hosting its Leading Edge Conference on Water and Wastewater Technologies (IWA LET) in 2026 and 2027.

The IWA Leading Edge Conference on Water and Wastewater Technologies provides a unique platform to access the most relevant emerging science and technology in the water and wastewater sector. Through the ‘best of the best’ offering of technical paper sessions, workshops, plenary sessions, technical visits and networking opportunities, LET is the must-go-to event for research and development leaders in the sector.

As for all our flagship events, IWA’s approach for selecting the venue for the LET has always been one of regional rotation. This aims to ensure that each Leading Edge Conference on Water and Wastewater Technologies is hosted in a different region to the one preceding it. The 2025 edition will be held in Los Angeles, USA.

In 2026 and 2027, priority will be given to the following geographical regions:

1. IWA LET 2026: Priority for venues in Asia
2. IWA LET 2027: Priority for venues in Europe

Letters of Intent are welcome from IWA Governing Members, IWA regular members, Strategic Partners and institutions that are active in the water sector at the interface of academia and water industry or utilities.

The open call is expected to generate a strong pool of high-quality proposals to select from and ensure that the selected candidate can deliver a highly successful event.
