The International Water Association (IWA) is delighted to collaborate with NewIBNET in extending an exclusive invitation to water utilities worldwide to participate in the upcoming IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition in Toronto, taking place from August 11-15, 2024, under the 2024 Data Pioneers in Water Utilities – Learning at Toronto Initiative. As a global platform dedicated to advancing benchmarking and learning across water utilities to enhance management practices and performance, NewIBNET, supported by the World Bank, is sponsoring 5 of its members to attend this prestigious event. To be eligible for selection, utilities are encouraged to newly enter or update their data for 2023 on the NewIBNET platform by June 7, 2024. Additionally, utilities not currently part of the NewIBNET partnership can still participate by promptly joining and providing their self-assessment data by the same deadline.

The IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition in Toronto is anticipated to bring together several thousand representatives from utilities and other water organizations, offering unparalleled opportunities for learning and networking, including the esteemed Utility Leaders Forum, for the sponsored group.

Furthermore, this initiative acknowledges and celebrates the efforts of associations of water and sanitation utilities that have mobilized their members to enter their data on performance and management practices for 2023. One deserving awardee will be selected from among these associations.

For water and sanitation utilities and associations newly joining NewIBNET, the chance of winning the conference package can be increased by submitting the required data for two consecutive years: 2022 and 2023. This provides an additional opportunity to contribute to global advancements in water management practices and performance.
