Abhishek Khanna, Astrid Hasund Thorseth and Miriam Otoo

Abhishek Khanna is an Associate Director at FSG. He specializes in developing market-based solutions that drive social change through deep stakeholder understanding and rigorous economic analysis. He has worked extensively in the water, sanitation, education, and health care sectors across India and Africa. He has also advised social enterprises and large corporates on developing inclusive business strategies to create social impact.

Astrid Hasund Thorseth is a Research Project Manager at WaterAid UK. She produces strategically relevant research-based policy outputs, dissemination and engagement activities. She oversees the generation of learnings from WaterAid’s programmes and research projects. Astrid provides quality assurance for research, offering design inputs, and advisory support to WaterAid departments and Country Programs to enhance strategic engagement and research uptake.

Miriam Otoo is the Deputy Chief of Party of USAID’s URBAN WASH Project. She is a trained economist with extensive experience in research, policy and project implementation in WASH and natural resources management. She specializes in urban sanitation, business innovations in wastewater and fecal sludge management, economics of water, energy and nutrient recovery, and solid waste management. She has worked extensively in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
