1st IACRR International Conference on Coastal Reservoirs and Sustainable Water Management
ABSTRACT DEADLINE EXTENDED: 15 September 2023
The International Association for Coastal Reservoir Research (IACRR) in partnership Hohai University is organizing the first International Conference on Coastal Reservoirs and Sustainable Water Management. Coastal reservoirs and tidal basins can potentially solve many of the water and energy challenges being faced by coastal cities worldwide. However, their continued development requires research and development in multidisciplinary areas.
This conference aims to bring together the expertise of water and energy resources planners, policy makers, researchers, engineers and scientists from around the world to review, assess and advance innovative downstream water and energy management practices in coastal cities.
The event theme aligns strongly with the focus of the new IWA Specialist Group on Sustainable Coastal and Estuarine Development, members of which will be actively participating in the conference.
The programme is expected to span:
- Coastal infrastructures, climate change
- Sustainable water management, water security
- Ecological impacts, water quality, sediment transport
- River, Estuarine and Reservoir processes
- Water-energy-food nexus, water policy
