Sustainable and Resilient Sanitation Service Chains

Improving Sanitation Services to the Urban Poor through Risk Management Strategies

The purpose of the project was to develop and promote appropriate intervention strategies to enhance the resilience of urban sanitation services and their supply chains through the adoption of risk-based management strategies. The project was coordinated by the International Water Association (IWA) and project partners involved in the research were Class-A, a multi-stakeholder partnership and a learning alliance based in Maputo, University College London (UCL) who led on the development of the risk assessment methodology, and W-Smart who contributed to the methodology development and dissemination.
