Jorge Durán is a Chemical Engineer specialized in Sanitary Eng. and MSc in Environmental Eng. He was trained in High Rate Anaerobic Treatment at Wastewater Technology Centre (Ont. Canada). and served at National Water Institute of Argentina performing different duties such as, setting up an environmental laboratory with the support of JICA (Japanese Int. Coop. Agency).
He also led Wastewater Treatment Department to produce polluted sites assessments and treatment plants feasibility studies. As an instructor in wastewater treatment, he had the chance to lecture at several universities as well as to train plant operators. As a free-lance consultant he has worked in several Latin American countries and Ghana as technical auditor for water and wastewater treatment processes and as plant O&M advisor.
