Biography

An IWA member since the year 2000, Dr. Yoshihiko Matsui has formally been part of IWA governance since 2013 as a member and from 2015 as a secretary of the IWA Japanese Committee. He is a member of Joint Organizing Committee of IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition 2018 at Tokyo, and an Editor of Water Research (a Journal of IWA). He was a member of IWA Programme Committee from 2010 till 2014.

Dr. Yoshihiko Matsui is a professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan. He has been conducting research on physical-chemical water treatment and drinking water quality standard. He has published more than 80 papers in IWA journals, and his scholarship achievements have granted him an acclaimed academic career with several prizes, which includes Prizes for Science and Technology from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, The Government of Japan.
