Dr. Tao Li is the Director of Strategy and Development at the International Water Association (IWA). He is a Senior Engineer of Environmental Engineering and Registered Professional Engineer in China as well as Australia. He also services as Adjunct Professor in Tongji University China. He was the Regional Director of Greater China Region at IWA in 2013-2021 and Director of Water Intelligence in 2021-2022.

Prior to joining IWA, Dr. Li was an Assistant Professor in Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Science, and he was in charge of many national and international research projects. He has published more than 30 scientific research papers in peer-review journals as well as three books.
