Biography

As a Strategic Programmes and Engagement Manager at the International Water Association (IWA), Samuela coordinates and manages IWA’s portfolio of strategic programmes, projects, and communities of practice related to the water sector. Dr Guida also identifies and engages with key global and regional partners who are aligned with IWA’s strategic goals, and supports the functioning and deliverables of IWA’s other communities, such as Young Water Professionals and Specialist Groups.

She has a PhD in Nutrients Removal and Recovery from Wastewater from Cranfield University, where she conducted research on eco-innovative and energy-efficient processes using ion exchange technology. She has published her findings in peer-reviewed journals and presented them at international conferences.

She is an effective communicator, native Italian and fluent English, and a certified project manager.
