Biography

Oliver is a highly experienced water industry professional with particular skills in both process engineering and instrumentation. He started his career in the laboratory after finishing his bachelors degree in London. After this he went into water & wastewater operations in the Falkland Islands managing the entire gamut of water operations from water resources, production and distribution through to wastewater collection and treatment. Following this he came back to the UK and studied for a Masters Degree and went into process engineering working first for Grontmij (now SWECO) and the Yorkshire Water. He then moved to Anglian Water where he led the wastewater regulated flow programme and flow compliance and latterly the instrumentation asset base. He then joined Z-Tech Control Systems to concentrate on both instrumentation and the smart water industry. Currently, he is Associate Director at Atkins, helping water companies with wastewater instrumentation, data governance and digitalisation.
