Loga Veeraiah

Loga Veeraiah is currently working at the Resource and Catchment Planning Division within the Water and Sewerage Regulatory Department of the National Water Services Commission (SPAN) in Malaysia. SPAN is a technical and economic regulatory body responsible for water supply and sewerage services in Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan. Her responsibilities with SPAN include the preparation of guidelines on Water Safety Plans, planning for water resources management, risk assessments,  performance reviews of operators, assisting with the approval of conceptual design of new water facilities, preparation of incidental reports, water supply demand monitoring and other regulatory functions.​​ With more than 15 years of experience in environmental consulting, including the past 5 years as regulator in the water industry, she brings to the table experience on climate change, risk assessment and management for the water industry in Malaysia. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Environmental) in UTM Malaysia and obtained her Master of Science degree in Sustainable Water Management as a Chevening Scholar at Newcastle University, UK.
