Biography

Joe moved to the Netherlands from Britain in 2013 to study International Relations at the University of Groningen.  After graduating cum laude in 2016, he joined IWA as an intern to support the Global Operations Director in developing relationships with embassies in The Hague. He continued this work in 2017 as Global Operations Support Officer, and in 2018 he went on to coordinate the IWA Project Innovation Awards which revitalised the association’s awards programme. As Global Operations Officer he is now responsible for IWA’s data protection regime, as well as facilitating the work of IWA’s governance bodies and managing the Global Operations team interns.

Joe has a keen interest in international affairs and is Associate Editor of Diplomat Magazine, the Netherlands’ leading diplomatic publication.
