Biography
Inge Wallage has been with the International Water Association (IWA) as their Communications and Engagement Director since September 2013. At the IWA Inge is building a function that is intrinsic to the new IWA Strategy. As the global organisation that brings together the science and practice of water management, the IWA works towards a world in which water is wisely managed to satisfy the needs of human activities and ecosystems in an equitable and sustainable way.
Her over 20-year professional experience covers international management & leadership, change management, organisational communications, strategic media relations, digital engagement, crisis/issues management, speakers’ management, internal communications and brand management. Before her personal ‘Great Transition’ to the not-for-profit sector, Inge worked in the corporate world for different companies, such as Motorola, Philips Electronics and Statoil, as well as international PR/communications consultancies Burson-Marsteller and WeberShandwick.
Inge is passionate about authenticity and thrives on contributing to sustainable change through communications and the power of connectivity. She loves connecting with people, always carries a novel with her and tries to write non-fiction and fiction regularly. Read more on: http://ingewallage.com.
