Inge Wallage
Director Communications and Engagement

Inge Wallage has been with the International Water Association (IWA) as their Communications and Engagement Director since September 2013. At the IWA Inge is building a function that is intrinsic to the new IWA Strategy. As the global organisation that brings together the science and practice of water management, the IWA works towards a world in which water is wisely managed to satisfy the needs of human activities and ecosystems in an equitable and sustainable way.

Her over 20-year professional experience covers international management & leadership, change management, organisational communications, strategic media relations, digital engagement, crisis/issues management, speakers’ management, internal communications and brand management. Before her personal ‘Great Transition’ to the not-for-profit sector, Inge worked in the corporate world for different companies, such as Motorola, Philips Electronics and Statoil, as well as international PR/communications consultancies Burson-Marsteller and WeberShandwick.

Inge is passionate about authenticity and thrives on contributing to sustainable change through communications and the power of connectivity. She loves connecting with people, always carries a novel with her and tries to write non-fiction and fiction regularly. Read more on:
