Xiaojun Fan has, since 2007, been the Executive Director of the Macao Water Company Co., Ltd. (Macao Water), the concessionaire of water supply services in Macao Special Administrative Region, P. R. China. Previously he was the Laboratory and Research Center Manager and the Deputy General Manager for technical issues.

Part of the IWA Board of Directors Xiaojun Fan has worked in China, France, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong with different organizations including Tsinghua University, Tsinghua Unisplendour (Group) Co. Ltd, the Ministry of Environment (China EPA), the Australian Capital Territory Electricity and Water (ACTEW), CIRSEE of SUEZ Environment, National University of Singapore and The University of Hong Kong. Xiaojun Fan holds degrees of Bachelor, Master and Ph. D in environmental engineering of Tsinghua University, Beijing , P. R. China. Dr. Fan joined the Being a Global Player Program organized by SUEZ University in 2002 and 2010.
