Chunyang (Sophie) graduated from Johns Hopkins University with an MSE degree in Environmental Engineering in 2014 and proceeded to work as a research associate at DC Water until the end of the summer in 2017. She started her career at IWA Nanjing Office as a regional officer in the fall of 2017. Her background in environmental specialty and research experience at DC Water blend her well with the appointment at IWA, providing chances for better program achievements. She now serves as the Senior Officer of Water Intelligence, promoting IWA as a catalyst for innovation, knowledge-sharing and best practice, and also as an international point of reference and source of knowledge for sustainable water solutions.
