Avni Kumar has over seven years of experience in the international development sector, specialising in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), with a cross-cutting focus on equality and inclusion and climate resilience in WASH. She has a background in development economics and has worked in various capacities with government, civil society, private sector and multilateral organisations. Avni has significant research experience of addressing barriers to women in the WASH workforce as well as promoting equality and inclusion in WASH programs, across South Asia and South-East Asia. She has also been a part of several projects related to understanding and addressing climate change impacts on WASH, both at the institutional and community level.
