Biography

Hanno joined IWA in early 2018 in the Basins of the Future Programme and later as IWA Learning Serivices Officer. He currently works as Strategic Programmes Officer in the IWA Global Operations Offices in The Hague, Netherlands.

Hanno studied International Land and Water Management at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, with a minor in Water Resources Management from Copenhagen University. During his studies, he conducted research on irrigation practices in Nepal, as well as capacity development for Integrated Water Resources Management in Kenia. After he graduated with a Master of Science, he further engaged in international development partnerships while working with the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Laos, supporting bilateral projects on land management and governance.
