Description

Join us on Wednesday, May 23 8:30-10:00 AM EST for a webinar hosted from the 2018 UNC Water Microbiology Conference. This webinar will convene a panel of experts to discuss recent research on Water Safety Plans and drinking water policy changes in Europe.

Water Safety Plans have been recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) since 2004 and seek to improve drinking water safety using comprehensive and proactive risk assessment and management. The Water Institute at UNC and Suez partnered from 2014 to 2018 to investigate Water Safety Plan outcomes across a range of locations, including France, Spain, Cuba, Morocco, and China. The research examined associated costs, benefits, challenges, and enablers, as well as operational performance, water quality, compliance, and gastrointestinal disease impacts.”
