Nature Based Solutions: Investing in nature from catchment to tap

International Water Association Nature based solutions

Target Audience

River Basin Authorities, water resource managers, governmental officials particularly at city level and utility planners. Other stakeholders with background in water management, water supply and wastewater planning or river basin management.

Description

Investment in Nature Based Solutions (NBS) in the wider river basin is increasingly seen as a way to address urban water challenges such as floods, shortages in supplies or degradation of water quality. NBS can be an effective and economical approach to enhance community safety and quality of life while sustaining ecosystems which we rely on for water resources.

This webinar is the first in a series on the integration of NBS in water systems across scales. The first webinar focuses on the practical approaches of integrating natural infrastructure into the planning and implementation from catchment to consumer. It highlights approaches cities together with their utilities are taking as proactive engagement in managing water resources.
