Virtual Conference: Latin American Meetings on Anaerobic Digestion

The current situation of the COVID 19 pandemic led the Organizing Committee to postpone the XIV Latin American Workshop and Symposium on Anaerobic Digestion (DAAL 14), scheduled for 11 – 13 November 2020, Cozumel, Mexico. The new date will be defined for year 2022, also in Mexico. However, an online substitute event will enable a virtual meeting in 2020 between colleagues and friends: The Latin American Meetings on Anaerobic Digestion (J-DAAL). The event will be an integral series, organized in 4 days at different countries, each one addressing a core theme: Uruguay (22 October 2020). Topic: Anaerobic microbiology (Microbial ecology and molecular biology in anaerobic processes, anaerobic biodegradation of emerging contaminants) Brazil (29 October 2020). Topic: Sustainable wastewater treatment plants (Anaerobic treatment of municipal wastewater, anaerobic digestion and circular economy, full-scale experiences) Chile (5 November 2020). Topic: Postreatment of anaerobic effluents (nutrient removal, modeling and control of anaerobic processes) Mexico (12 November 2020). Topic: Bio-refinery based on residues (Anaerobic treatment of industrial wastewater, anaerobic digestion of solid waste).
