IWA 21st INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DIFFUSE POLLUTION & EUTROPHICATION
The conference “Navigating Diffuse Pollution: Pathways to Carbon Neutrality” aims to convene experts, stakeholders, and policymakers to address pressing environmental challenges and chart a course towards sustainable solutions. With a focus on diffuse pollution and carbon neutrality, the conference seeks to foster knowledge exchange, innovative thinking, and collaborative action across sectors. Through presentations, panel discussions, and workshops, participants will explore cutting-edge technologies, policy frameworks, and best practices aimed at mitigating diffuse pollution and advancing carbon neutrality. Additionally, the conference will emphasize the alignment of these efforts with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), underscoring the interconnectedness of environmental protection, social equity, and economic prosperity. By promoting cross-sectoral collaboration and equitable, inclusive solutions, the conference aims to catalyze collective action towards a more sustainable and resilient future.
DIPCON 2024 will serve as a pivotal platform for stakeholders to engage in dialogue and strategize the integration of sustainable practices into decision-making processes. Acknowledging the pressing need to address diffuse pollution and curb carbon emissions to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), participants will explore the interconnectedness of environmental conservation, poverty alleviation, health enhancement, and economic development. By aligning with SDGs, notably Goal 13 (Climate Action), Goal 14 (Life Below Water), Goal 15 (Life on Land), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the conference underscores the pivotal role of environmental sustainability in achieving broader societal objectives. Through interactive sessions and dialogue, attendees will delve into how efforts to mitigate diffuse pollution and achieve carbon neutrality can synergistically contribute to the realization of multiple SDGs, fostering cross-sectoral collaboration and propelling progress towards a more sustainable and equitable future.
