6th IWA International Conference on Eco-Technologies for Wastewater Treatment
LEQUIA (The Laboratory of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the University of Girona) and ICRA (Catalan Institute for Water Research) were selected to host the next (6th) conference of these series during the last ecoSTP21 held in Milan upon nomination and voting.
EcoSTP-23 aims to discuss the latest cutting-edge eco-technologies for a sustainable transition in wastewater treatment, reuse, and resource recovery, at urban and industrial scale, but giving special attention to facilitate the efficient transfer of knowledge into practice, and guarantee that these technologies reach the market.
However, building a more resilient future for water management needs a transdisciplinary and multi-domain examination, including socio-economic and governance aspects. There is a growing social demand for water management to be conducted in accordance with democratic and fairness criteria of responsibility, transparency, and universal access to safe drinking water and sanitation. ecoSTP23 will include hydro-social aspects and the multiple factors that currently frame water management
