Mohamed has a master degree in Environment from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is interested in sustainable development, promoting and innovating more sustainable practices, policies and strategies to achieve water and food security in development countries. Therefore, he was keen to join IWA as an intern for Water Policy and Regulation to develop his international experience in the field of integrated water management and sustainable development. In the past, Mohamed had the chance to work in a number of developing countries such as Egypt, Ghana and Sri Lanka as well as supporting in data collection and critical analysis for the water and wastewater sector in Jordan and Lebanon. He has taken many roles in the field of sustainable development where he undertook various duties including, -sampling, data collection and analysis, community development and capacity building, and interpreting results for publication to a wider audience.
